OC Water Polo

The Citizens Water Polo team is an established member of the Thameside Waterpolo League. The side plays in Division 1, and home matches are played in the School swimming bath. 

OC Water Polo started in 1920 as part of the Swimming Club which had team races and galas starting before the Great War. It grew quickly in both strength and numbers in the first decade of the OC Swimming and Water Polo Club, soon forming a second and even a third team. That was an extraordinary feat considering the School did not even have its own pool until the late 1930s when there was a large building extension.

Swimming matches continued until the nineteen sixties, but the water polo thrives to this day.
