Old Citizens FC were also promoted as division runners-up. The highest league division the club has played in is Division One.

The Arthurian League shows “Established 1961” on some of its literature. This is slightly misleading. The league system with divisions and a fixture structure and league tables started in 1961, but the Arthurian League itself started over half a century before that as an association of teams consisting of old boys from public schools playing each other on an ad hoc basis with the emphasis on matches being played in the right spirit. It was in the very early years that the Arthur Dunn Cup knock-out competition started.

The Old Citizens FC first applied to enter the Dunn in the 1903-04 season. We recorded our first win in the 1906-07 season beating the Old Etonians in the first round in December 1906, and losing 2-3 to Old Cranleighans in the second round. OC’s most successful season in this cup was 1930-31 when we lost to Old Wykehamists in the final. However, earlier, in 1921-22, we reached the semi-final.
