John Carpenter Lodge is the masonic lodge formed for ‘Old Citizens’ in 1883.  John Carpenter Lodge is friendly and highly enjoyable and we warmly welcome visitors, joining members from other lodges and new freemasons alike.

We are very fortunate not only to have a thriving and active membership of all ages and from all walks of life but also routinely to welcome many visitors who help make our meetings supremely vibrant.

Whilst we still benefit from ex-City of London School new initiates, in recent years we have opened our doors more widely and our members are drawn from a variety of business and social backgrounds.  We welcome new members with or without a connection to the School.

We meet four times a year at Mark Mason’s Hall in St.James’s Street.  However, with COVID-19, our meetings have had to adapt to the current challenging times but – along with other freemasons - we are all regularly in touch, supporting each other and the wider community.

We are proud of our ongoing connection to the City of London School and to being able to provide a warm masonic home to new Old Citizens.  We look forward to hearing from anyone who would like to find out more about us.  Please get in touch via the John Carpenter Lodge website or by email to Mark Jacobs.
