John Carpenter Chapter

The JCC Chapter meets on the second Friday in March, when we hold the Installation of Principals and Officers, the third Friday in June and the second Thursday in September.  Meetings in Duke Street, St James start at 4.00 pm and we then dine afterwards at the Army and Navy Club.  The Chapter is much smaller than the John Carpenter Lodge but this provides for an extremely friendly environment enjoyed by members and visitors alike.

The Chapter is largely composed of Old Citizens and former Old Mercers, who joined us as their school closed around 1960, but we also have welcomed other friends.  Our Acting Secretary, Malcolm Bint, was introduced by one of my contemporaries RAGordon Smith (RAGS).  Any Old Citizen who is interested should get in touch with Malcolm or Mike Miller.
