Social event at  Movida Nightclub, for 2007-2010 CLS leavers 

Old Citizen, Sam Kohli, organised a reunion for 2007-2010 CLS leavers, on 24 June, at London's prestigious Movida Nightclub. Sponsored by The John Carpenter Club, the evening attracted about 50 Old Cits and was a great success. Photos and write-up to follow.

City of London School Bursary Trust Dinner, Tate Modern

The School's fourth Bursary Trust Dinner on Thurs 10 June at the Tate Modern was a huge success, raising a six-figure sum to assist boys from financially disadvantaged backgrounds gain places at the School. Click here for photos.

Summer Concert, 6.30pm Great Hall, School 

Open to parents, OCs and pupils, this annual event provided an opportunity for the School's talented musicians and singers to perform in front of a live audience, with proceeds from donations going to the School's chosen charity of the year.

Hosted by OC Koolesh Shah and organised by Nigel Primmer, this reunion was a small, intimate event attended by about 20 Old Cits.

This informal event, organised by OCs, Isaac Livne, Tim Levene and Sam Spring, proved a big draw for our younger Old Cits, attracting well over 100 people to this vibrant, city centre venue.

JCC Annual Dinner, House of Lords

OC Lord Peter Levene sponsored the JCC again for this event, which attracted 118 Old Cits from across the generations, and their guests. The Rt. Hon. Oliver Letwin MP was guest speaker.

OC Creative Industries gathering, School

About 15 undergraduate Old Cits attended the event, along with 20 or more professionals. The undergraduates, currently studying a wide variety of courses at university, gained an insight into how they might gain a foothold in the creative sector, while the professional Old Cits were pleased to offer their advice and network with others in related industries.

OC Finance Professionals gathering, School

More than 50 Old Citizens either established in the finance sector or looking for opportunities in the industry, attended this gathering at the School.  All attendees were circulated short career summaries or aspirations of those participating prior to the event to try and create as productive a networking evening as possible.

Oxford University Reunion of OCs

This event was hosted by Shahpur Patell, OC and Home Bursar of Jesus College, and organised by OC Hursh Mehta. Given that about 10% of City leavers get in to Oxford every year, a revival of alumni events at the university was greatly welcomed.

1987/8/9 leavers' reunion, at the School

Old Cits mingled with teachers at this reunion, which included a tour of the School. Gary Griffin, the School's Second Master gave an update on CLS matters and Nigel Baglin, Head of Careers, reported on the careers activitities being enhanced and promoted at CLS and supported by the JCC.
