OCCC vs Bourne End
On Saturday, a fine batting performance saw us chase down a stiff target of 199 for a nailbiting win with just 2 balls remaining. We had a hard slog in the field as Bourne End racked up 198-2 before making a generous declaration, James Gleadow and Jacob Holden bowling very well against some hard hitting batsmen to take identical figures of 1-34 off 10 overs. After losing a couple of early wickets, Mike Knight played a very well paced innings of 76 to see us home, supported by a quickfire 41 from Steve Ringer, and an excellent 51 from Jacob Holden, before Jo Spencer knocked off the winning runs.
Bourne End 198-2 dec, 39.2 overs (Gleadow 1-34 (10 overs), Holden 1-34 (10 overs), Bennett 0-35 (8 overs), Knight 0-33 (7.2 overs))
OCCC 199-4, 39.4 overs (Knight 76*, Holden 51, Ringer 41, Spencer 13*)
