OC Golf - Celebrating a Centenary
Twenty six members and guests enjoyed Lunch at the Carlton Club on Friday the 20th November 2009 to celebrate the Old Citizens Golfing Society Centenary.
The Headmaster, David Levin, Bruce Todd the JCC 
President, Alan Willis a Past President and members of the Golfing Society enjoyed a superb five-course lunch in the Cabinet Room. Copies of the Booklet 'The Old Citizens Golfing Society 1909-2009' were distributed to those present. This excellent 100 page book has been written by Greg Matthews (57-66) and designed and set by Brian Millo (53-61). The book charts the progress of the Society over the 100 years using reports from the Gazette as the main source.
Unfortunately most of the Society's records were stolen from the car of a previous Secretary. Greg had to research the Public Schools Golfing Society records as well as track down stories from the older players who are still with us, some of whom are now in their nineties.
