We had a fairly convincing win on Saturday against South Woodford. After a poor start in the field as the Oppo raced to 73-1 after 10 overs, we fought back very well to dismiss them for 119 with Jacob (4-41), Alex (3-46) and Junky (2-5) doing the damage, and Jo Spencer effecting 3 smart stumpings and a caught behind. We knocked off the runs for the loss on 1 wicket with Jo Spencer (41*) and me (33*) seeing us home after an explosive start from Yusuf Ramzan (26 with 6 fours). Typically, Jo Spencer finished his last game with a jug shy performance and a not out to feather his average before scurrying to Australia just in time to miss all the difficult games in the 2nd half of the season.
